Natalie Jones — "The Truth About Natalie"

Natalie Jones died in Heard County, Georgia, in 2020. Her death was ruled an overdose and, for six years, that was where the official record stopped.

In August 2026 a new podcast, "The Truth About Natalie," from the Georgia journalist Sean Kipe and promoted by audiochuck, began re-examining the case week by week. It launched around August 19 and within days was sitting at number two on the true crime podcast chart. An episode released on August 24 claimed that an analysis of cell-tower records shows a second person was in her car around the time she died, a claim the show presents as new and which no official body has confirmed or rejected.

That is why the case is on the board under the Podcast phase. Nothing in the court record has changed: there is no criminal case, no suspect and no charge. What has changed is attention. When a show of this size reopens a closed death, local authorities tend to be asked whether they will look again, and that is the development to watch.
