Redstring Press publishes true crime — reported narrative, series, and crime fiction — from writers with or without an agent. No submission fee, no reading fee, a human read on every manuscript, and an answer within 60 days.

Single-case narrative

One case, told long. Investigations, trials, cold cases reopened — reported nonfiction with sourcing you can defend line by line.

Series

A repeatable frame across cases: a region, a decade, an investigator, a pattern. Pitch the frame and the first two books.

Crime fiction

Novels that read like the board — procedural, contemporary, propulsive. Inspired-by is welcome; passing fiction off as fact is not.

How a submission moves

    An editor reads the sample. Every submission gets a human read.

    A yes, a pass, or a revise-and-resubmit — within 60 days, in writing.
